In September 2015, I started my lifestyle transformation journey. For a while, I was hiding from my truth, through my smile and laughter. But I was struggling with depression, unresolved childhood issues, and suicidal behavior. I knew that if I didn’t face my truth and make some changes, I was going to self-destruct.


    The first step was mental change. I allowed room for growth and forgiveness while severing negative and unhealthy relationships. The next step was the physical change. At 240 pounds I set a goal to lose 50 pounds by May 2016. And with the help of my close circle, I began my journey to a better life As of May 2016 I have lost a total of 60 pounds! I began to re-discover myself and start living in my truth. I found happiness and regained my confidence in self-love.


    We all have a purpose, no matter how significant others might view them but there’s nothing more important than your mental and physical health. Find your balance in life and love yourself through the process. Allow yourself to make mistakes and learn from them. Life is hard and depression is real but it could be temporary if you’re willing to take the journey to heal.
